Samsung have unveiled the Galaxy Tab 2 for their tablet range of products. The Galaxy Tab 2 is similar to the original Galaxy Tab. It features the same 7″ display and 1024×600 resolution. It also comes with a 3 megapixel camera and a front facing camera along with 1GB of RAM.
The Galaxy Tab 2 differs however by coming in a slightly thicker form factor. The Tab 2 will measure 10.5mm compared to the original Galaxy Tab which measured 9.9mm. The tablet will be powered by a 1GHz dual core processor and Android 4.0. Samsung will also load the Galaxy Tab with it’s Readers Hub, Video Hub and Music Hub as part of the Samsung Hub Services.
The Galaxy Tab 2 is anticipated to go on sale from March, starting with the UK. Pricing details are currently unknown.

In the UK, Currys (and the whole Dixons Group among other retailers) have reduced the price of the BlackBerry PlayBook down to just £249 for the 16GB model, slashing a whopping £150 off the normal retail price. The same is true for the 32GB and 64GB model which are now available for £329 and £409 respectively. The offer however, ends December 31st.
For today only though, you can effectively get Research In Motion’s tablet for only £149 after cash back. Quidco are offering users £100 cash back on the all BlackBerry PlayBook models. So while you may have to pay £249 up front for the 16GB model, you will get £100 back if you order at Currys through Quidco.
For those who haven’t used Quidco before, it’s a site that lets you get cash back for many of your every day purchases, online and offline and does actually work. At the time of writing, the offer expires in 12 hours time.

Adobe have unveiled a Photoshop application that gives you “core Photoshop features”. Photoshop Touch is available on the Android Market for tablets exclusively. Your Android Tablet however, will need to be running Android 3.1 or above, which cuts some tablets out such as HTC’s 7 inch Flyer which comes with Android 2.3.
Camera Fill filter is an exclusive feature for Photoshop Touch, which lets you use the tablet’s camera to fill in a selected area of a picture.
You will also be able to create layered files which are viewable on the desktop version of Photoshop.
Adobe Photoshop Touch is available for £6.99 on the Android Market. Along with Photoshop Touch, Adobe also announced Adobe Ideas, Adobe Proto, Adobe Debut, Adobe Collage and Adobe Kuler for Android tablets.
