Google announce Nexus 5

Google have announced their latest Android phone in the Nexus range which comes in the form of the Nexus 5. As expected, the Nexus 5 will run Google’s latest version of Android which is Android 4.4, aka Kit Kat (other Nexus devices will receive this update in a few weeks). Those hoping to get their hands on Apple’s latest flagship device are likely to be left disappointed, or at least a good portion of potential buyers will be. Apple officially unveil iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, along with iOS 7 release date

As expected, today Apple officially announced two new iPhones. At the event held in California, Apple took the wraps off their premium iPhone 5S, along with the slightly cheaper iPhone 5C. The iPhone 5S has been described as “the most forward-thinking phone we’ve ever created”. Featuring a 64 bit A7 chip it’s twice as fast as the A6 chip and it is the first 64 bit smartphone. Samsung release 18 minute Note 3 hands on video

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 officially unveiled

I’m sure it will come as no surprise to readers of our blog, that Samsung officially unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, their third generation phablet. After all the rumors, the Sony Xperia Z1 is now official. We’d heard many rumors about this smartphone, mostly going under the name of Honami but, with the official announcement comes the handsets official name and of course specifications. Galaxy Note 3 to include fingerprint scanner

It’s a rumor that had surfaced a while back about the Note 3 but, the the idea of a fingerprint scanner on the Note 3 was quickly quashed. Until now that is. Samsung are yet to officially announce the Note 3, that won’t be for another hour or so but, a Samsung employee has apparently confirmed that the Note 3 will feature a fingerprint scanner.
